Join us for this FREE workshop on creating your own hero.

10am-10:50am PreTeen-Teen Version

We will examine Aristotle’s Hero’s Journey and how it applies to current movies, books, and comics/graphic novels. Together, we will focus on heroes around us and the created Super-Hero. Examining their weaknesses, faults, and strengths. Finally, we will work on your own thoughts of a Super-Hero and how to develop his/her back story and character sheet. This information can be used to work on your own story or gain deeper understanding of others.

11am-11:50am Child’s workshop (12 and under)

There will be several craft activities, including: creating a hero mask, comic book collage, and hero creation. During craft activities we will discuss what makes a hero and differences with created super heroes; their weakness, strengths, and faults. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult to supervise crafts.

 Door prizes will be randomly awarded.

Attendees will have several take-aways from this workshop.
